PHOENIX — The Office of Commissioner Andy Tobin is pleased to welcome Landon Stevens as its new Policy Advisor. Stevens comes to the Corporation Commission after serving as the Director of Policy for Strata Policy, a Utah-based think tank focusing on energy, environment, and public lands issues. Prior to his time in Utah, Stevens was the Policy Director at the Institute for Energy Research in Washington, D.C. In both roles, Stevens led teams in researching and analyzing the functions, operations, and regulation of energy markets.

In his role with the Corporation Commission, Stevens will be advising Commissioner Tobin on current policy initiatives and various cases before the Commission. Additionally, he will serve as Commissioner Tobin’s primary representative on the Corporation Commission’s Water Committee which is actively working on a more proactive approach to water loss policy. Stevens begins his new post September 5, 2017.

As a sixth generation Arizonan and grandson of former Arizona Senate President Stan Turley, Stevens is no stranger to issues facing the state. Stevens holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Brigham Young University and received a Master of Public Policy with a focus on energy policy from George Mason University.
